BloomThreads: Embroidering For A Cause: Semper Fi Fund

BloomThreads: Embroidering For A Cause: Semper Fi Fund

Am I the only person who has pretty much stopped watching the news because it’s down right depressing!?!?

The media and majority of the world focuses their energy on the bad in the world vs the awesome. I personally think that notion is super depressing and I truly try my best to find the good in everyone & everything!

In researching makers for The Grain House Co. — Grand Opening Market’s blog post I came in contact with a lady named Jackie Hritz, Owner and Artist of Bloom Threads Out of Virginia. She won me over with her necklaces

I MEAN LOVE AT FIRST SITE!!!            ↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓

Jackie’s story and passion touched my soul in a special place, so I wanted to share it with all of you!

I asked her to explain her story in her own words and this is what she said:

Bloom Threads is my small way of trying to make the world a kinder and more beautiful place, with embroidery.  I started Bloom Threads in 2016 with the goal of selling my embroideries to raise money for good causes.  When you buy one of my pieces, I donate all of the proceeds to Semper Fi Fund, which provides support to wounded service members, veterans, and their families.

I adore vintage needlework, bright colors, and statement necklaces, and these pieces are some of my favorites! All of my necklaces are based on patterns from the 1920s, with some modern twists.

I also love supporting other small businesses. Each of my pieces are framed in a super high-quality mini hoop made by Dandelyne, a woman-owned, maker-owned, environmentally conscious small business in Australia.

I hope you love them as much as I love making them!

I mean seriously people!!! If there were more people like Jackie roaming around this world it would be such a better place!

I challenge each of you to turn your passion into something kind and beautiful!

Jackie’s Necklaces and other items [baby onsies, blankets and wall hangs] are available in her Etsy.com shop ♥ but I’m so pleased to share that you can purchase these necklaces locally

This Market theme will be Easter — These necklaces would make a perfect gift & it’s all for the love, care and support of our wounded service members, veterans, and their families!

Below is the full gallery of necklaces available! ♥♥ ♥♥ ♥♥ They are $25 each.. I hope you support this beautiful maker and her efforts to make this world a better place! kudos Jackie xoxo

  1. Her necklaces are so beautiful and unique! Embroidery, and basically any type of art involving needles and thread, is a happy thing for me, I’m glad that people still use such a classic art form to create all sorts of beautiful things!

  2. I totally agree with you. Even my news feed on FB has gotten so depressing that I resolved to post NOTHING but good stuff.
    Love the necklaces.
